Napapijri® began its journey in 1987. The brand draws its inspiration from the shadow of Europe’s highest peak, Monte Bianco, where an Italian travel bag manufacturer mixed design innovation and function with style, and revolutionized outdoor apparel. The brand is a variation of the Finnish word for the Arctic Circle and the logo, half positive and half negative, gives visual expression to the North and South poles. Now its boundaries are more and more global: Napapijiri® is a polyglot brand synonymous with casual clothing and footwear between sporty and "premium" style aimed at a modern, dynamic, always on the move generation.
The evolution of the brand into an strong presence in the world of premium leasure wear has been filtered through the creation of a set of items that have succesfully rendered our philosophy wearable. Inspired by our connection to the extreme landscapes of the poles, we let Northern wisdom inspire the creation of two of our most iconic products by transforming the anorak into a familiar sight in the urban landscape: Skidoo, and Rainforest .
